I truly cannot believe it’s already November. Time is flying! This weekend we had magnificent fall weather in Philadelphia. The leaves are changing colors and falling from the trees, which makes my strolls around the streets of Philadelphia even more breathtaking.
For these warmer fall days, I like to play with multiple layers because it can be a little hot for a jacket during my afternoon walks. As I was putting the finishing touches on my outfit this morning, the word “preppy” immediately came to my mind. And honestly, I’m loving this look. Here’s how I put it together.
First, the jeans! The stretchy material makes them extremely comfortable. The faded color and shredded cuts add dimension to the jeans making it effortless to pair with any top or shoes. The raw hem is a bonus because the jeans won’t bunch when wearing your favorite boots, and they’ll lay flat when wearing heels. These jeans are great quality for the price and they run true to size.
Since the jeans are so versatile, you can pair them with almost any top. But before we get into tops, a few months ago I noticed that I had so many white button-down shirts – more than I could count actually. One day I was figuring out a way to turn work clothes into everyday wear and started to play around with different layering options. To master my preppy-look I went with what I know. I decided to layer my flattering, well-tailored white button down with a formfitting sweater. Sometimes when I layer articles of clothing, I’m nervous of feeling like I am having extra bulging but this button down and sweater are a perfect pair. The two paired together where figure flattering AND they come in multiple colors.
The Treasure & Bond boots are a staple and an absolute must have in your closet. I wore them all day and didn’t want to take them off! They are very versatile and you can pair them with any jeans and/or dresses. They come in two other colors (Olive and Khaki) and fit true to size. You will need some extra time to put them on but once they’re on, you won’t be disappointed. SO cute!
Have a preppy look that is your go to? Share it here! Have a great week.
