It’s the most wonderful time of the year… sweater season and it’s in full force! Fall happens to be my favorite season and nothing makes me happier than seeing retailers transition their stores from summer to fall. Bye-bye sleeveless everything and hello comfy sweaters! Not only does that mean the heat is behind us (well, it might not seem that way with the unseasonably warm temperatures Philadelphia is dealing with) but it means it’s time for layers.
For my first official fall look post, I threw on some of my new finds from last weekend!
Out and about, I spotted Ann Taylor having a sweater sale (YAY!) and of course I had to check it out. I came across this sweater and fell in love. They took a basic sweater and added a little twist: the sleeve ties add a chic element that elevates the look. Learning how to keep the tie together took some time but by the second time, I had it down pat. Basic colors are always my go-to but this sweater currently comes in four colors (Olive Khaki, Night Sky, Winter White and Heather Silver Gray). Added bonus… the length of this sweater is perfect! It runs a little bit bigger, so be sure to go down one size. I thought it would be itchy but I wore a tank top underneath and had no issues. I paired the sweater with my extremely comfortable tall jeans from Banana Republic (and let me tell you, they make your legs looks BANGIN’)!
To top off the look, I added some knee-high boots (currently sold out but added a few others to choose from), sunglasses and layered it with pendants. I love having a pop of color for all my outfits, and for this look I added my versatile Burberry bag in mahogany red.
Now that the temperatures are starting to change (at least here in Philadelphia), tell me about one of your favorite fall look?
Photo location: I love walking the charming streets of Philadelphia. Marveling at the history of the Colonial Times Rowhomes to the unique cobblestone roads, I am always looking for the next breathtaking spot to enhance my outfit choices. This location was near Rittenhouse Square.
